Black and silver have for the last few years been the dominating colours of the multimedia market. More and more companies are adapting from only using the traditional colours to seeing possibilities in new target groups through colourisation.

The companies have now realised that women are not focused on technical specifications but more on the lifestyle of the products. Because of this, the colour plays a central part when choosing a product.

Women buy pink. The colour pink is actually a female colour. The range goes from pink baby products to childhood toys and teenagers first cosmetic experiences. So it’s only a logical step to offer sophisticated electronic devices in a pink colour.

In terms of turnover in comparison to the overall market volume, pinkish products are only representing a minor market, but it still pays off for manufacturers. Cell phones, notebooks and gaming devices, they all are available in pink.
